Hoya, who has left the group ‘INFINITE,’ wrote a heartfelt letter to INSPIRIT.
On August 30, Woollim Entertainment announced Hoya’s departure from INFINITE. On the same day, Hoya posted a hand-written letter for his fans on his Instagram.
He wrote:
Hello, this is Hoya.
First of all, I would like to apologize for making you worry because of the sudden news.
And I would like to say sorry to the fans who must be exhausted from waiting for so long.
I wanted to let you know in person, but I thought an official announcement should come first. I ask for your understanding for not being able to tell you for such a long time.
I took me a while to figure out what words to use to express my feelings.
First and foremost, dear INFINITE members…
To Sunggyu Hyung, Dongwoo Hyung, Woohyun, Sungyeol, Myungsoo and Sungjong, I would like to say sorry and thank you once again through this writing.
I know very well that I was able to receive such undeserved love from my dear INSPIRIT only because I was with INFINITE members. I will not forget it in the future.
I will cherish the warm hearts of INSPIRIT who have loved me sincerely.

I would like to once again thank CEO Lee Jung Yeob and all the staff of Woollim for supporting me and making me what I am today.
I will work hard with a humble attitude.
I am sorry for causing so many to worry.
