Day6 Shows Charisma as Korean Representative Band at Japan’s Biggest Rock Festival ‘Summer Sonic’

Day6 appeared at ‘Summer Sonic 2017’ held in Tokyo, Japan on the 19th.

‘Summer Sonic’ is one of the three big rock festivals in the world in which Day6 had a passionate stage as a Korean representative band.

In the performance they presented 6 songs such as ‘Congratulations’, ‘Letting Go’, ‘I Wait’, ‘How Can I Say’, ‘Dance Dance’, ‘Freely’, with sensitive rock ballads and wild sound, they held a stage with their various charms of an exciting atmosphere. In addition, they greeted fans in fluent Japanese in between songs and received a warm reception.

Especially as Day6 was #5 on Japan’s biggest portal site ‘Yahoo Japan’ real-time search words, even though they have not officially debuted in the region, they are already receiving high interest.

Day6 is continuously active globally. They held a showcase and fan meeting titled ‘Day6 Live & Meet 2017’ in Taipei on July 21st and in Bangkok, Thailand on August 13th, and will be continuing their overseas fan meeting tour by on the 26th in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Also, Day6’s new song released in August, ‘What Can I Do’ was #1 on Singapore’s iTunes charts, #3 in the Philippines, and #8 in Thailand, staying within the top 10. In the iTunes KPOP chart, they were 1st in the US, Austria, Malaysia, Philippines, Australia and New Zealand, displaying their potential as a global band.

Meanwhile, Day6 will be holding a 3 day concert ‘Every Day6 Concert in September’ from September 1st to 3rd at Hongdae KT&G Sangsangmadang Live Hall. (photo Summer Sonic 2017)
