The 73rd United Nations General Assembly will commence on September 18 and continue until next month in New York. World’s leaders such as U.S. President Donald Trump and South Korean President Moon Jae-in will be attending the General Assembly during the period.

According to various sources from the United Nations, BTS will attend the ‘Generation unlimited’ partnership announcement event, UNICEF’s new agenda for the youth, on September 24. On this day, BTS will be making a 3-minute speech in front of the public. It is the first time for a K-pop artist to be invited to the UN General Assembly, giving evidence to BTS’ popularity and the grown stature of K-pop in the world. .

‘Generation Unlimited’ is UN’s new global partnership program to encourage investment and expansion of opportunities for teenagers and young people of ages 10 to 24. This event will take place a day before the General Debate of the UN General Assembly begins, and notable figures including UN Secretary-General António Guterres and UNICEF Executive Director Henrietta Fore, as well as 3 First Ladies including Kim Jung-Sook, the wife of South Korean President Moon Jae-in will be present at the event.

BTS has also confirmed their appearance on ABC’s news program ‘Good Morning America’ and NBC’s ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.’

BTS will show a live performance at ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on September 25 and at ‘Good Morning America’ on the 26th.
